Simple. Finished. Human.™
FOR SACRAMENTO COUNTY · CALIFORNIA DIVORCE & LEGAL SEPARATION
For eligible uncontested divorce or legal separation matters, our registered Legal Document Assistant team organizes your paperwork using the information and specific directions you provide. You make the decisions. We help move your paperwork forward—fast.
Fast Divorce is a California Legal Document Assistant service, not a law firm. We do not give legal advice or represent you. You represent yourself.
I am not an attorney. I can only provide self help services at your specific direction.
“Finished” refers to the included administrative work. Courts and third parties control their own timing, acceptance and outcomes.
REAL PEOPLE. REMOTE SERVICE.
Ask questions by phone, share requested information online and review your document work with a real person. No office visit is needed to work with us.
In our experience, most of our clients do not need to attend court in person. Required signatures, filings and any court appearance depend on your case and the court.

A LITTLE LOCAL PERSPECTIVE
Explore the county picture, then come back to what matters to you: your questions, your decisions and the support you want.
LOOK A LITTLE CLOSER
Open a question to explore.
Court filings in the report’s “Marital” category: divorce (dissolution), legal separation and annulment (nullity). These are countywide case filings, not completed divorces, individual people or Fast Divorce clients.
No. A filing count does not measure a waiting list or predict your court’s processing time. Your documents, required steps and case circumstances matter.
Understand the processUse it for perspective, then focus on your own next step. You can organize what you have, explore the service scope or ask a real person about document support. You do not need every answer before you begin that conversation.

Explore Complete DivorceCourt and third-party costs are separate unless your signed records expressly include them. Your full account balance must be paid before judgment work begins. Read the complete pricing page for inclusions, exclusions and payment terms.
You do not need to choose the larger service simply because you have children or have already filed. The requested paperwork, case history and service requirements matter. Our team can explain service scope. An attorney can advise about legal choices.
FROM THE FIRST QUESTION TO THE INCLUDED FINISH
You should be able to understand what is being prepared, what needs your attention, and what happens next.
California divorce takes at least six months. The timing rule depends on how the case starts, and required steps and court processing can make it longer. Filing papers does not automatically end a marriage. Legal separation is a different procedure and does not end the marriage.
Explore the resources and compare document preparation services. Ask the team about administrative scope. Get separate legal advice if you need help making legal decisions.
Provide the requested information for our review. If the work fits, we explain the separate service records and payment instructions before you decide whether to proceed. Applying does not mean your matter is accepted or that work has begun.
After acceptance, follow the team’s instructions for providing requested records, your decisions and your specific directions. Keep questions about service separate from questions needing legal advice.
Review prepared documents carefully. Confirm that they reflect the information and directions you supplied. Preparation, signatures, filing and service coordination follow the accepted scope and the requirements that apply to the case.
The accepted service includes judgment document work and active closeout. Courts control their own review and orders. Keep copies of final documents and obtain separate advice about obligations that continue afterward.
THE HUMAN DIFFERENCE
When your life is changing, a missing detail can be hard to spot. Human document support gives you someone to ask about the work being prepared, the information requested and the status of the tasks within your service.
An explanation of the administrative process and the document work included in the service you select.
Documents prepared using the information and decisions you provide, with questions when an entry is missing or inconsistent.
An opportunity to read the prepared drafts and provide corrections within the included revision rounds.
Included filing and standard service coordination, judgment paperwork and closeout, subject to the accepted scope and signed records.
TECHNOLOGY IS USEFUL. YOUR LIFE IS PERSONAL.
AI can explain unfamiliar words, organize a list and help you prepare questions. Those can be useful first steps. An answer that sounds confident, however, may be inaccurate, incomplete or unsuitable for your situation. Verify it before you use it in a court document or make a legal decision.
A general AI conversation does not itself complete your court case. Divorce still involves required disclosures, case-specific paperwork and court procedures. A court judgment is part of completing the process. What must happen depends on the type of case and its circumstances.
People can represent themselves, and California court self-help resources are valuable. The question is what support you want and which questions require professional advice. Fast Divorce offers human document preparation at your specific direction. An attorney can advise you about rights and legal choices.
Try asking for a plain-language definition, a neutral list of questions or an outline for organizing your records. Use hypothetical examples and omit identifying details. Open the cited official sources yourself and check whether they support the answer.
Treat conclusions about legal rights, which forms or procedure to choose, support, property, deadlines and proposed settlement terms as matters to verify. A plausible explanation is not proof that a legal conclusion fits your case. For advice about your own legal position, consult a licensed attorney.
We can explain our services and prepare accepted documents at your specific direction. We cannot validate legal advice, choose a legal strategy or tell you what terms you should accept. Bring legal questions to an attorney; use official court resources for general process information.
Use technology to prepare better questions and understand which answers still need checking.
You might ask AI about divorce because you want to understand your options before sharing personal details with anyone. You might be comparing costs or trying to make sense of a form. Research can be a useful beginning. What matters is knowing when an answer is ready to rely on and when it is only a starting point.
AI can help arrange general notes or suggest questions you had not thought to ask. Keep sensitive information out of prompts. A useful exercise is to ask for a short explanation and a list of assumptions, then check the original sources. The clarity of the writing does not establish that the information is accurate.
Try this organizing prompt: “Create a short list of questions about the California divorce process for me to verify using official court information. Separate general process questions from questions for a licensed attorney. Use a hypothetical situation without names or personal details.”
Opening papers are part of a process. Financial information, decisions about unresolved issues and final court documents also matter. A judgment determines the legal result, including when marital status ends. Requirements vary with the procedure and facts.
California introduced a joint-petition procedure in 2026. That is one example of why you should check current information instead of relying on an old article or a confident summary. It still involves steps after the initial filing. A simpler procedure may be available for qualifying couples, but little property by itself does not establish eligibility.
Court self-help is a free source of court information and assistance that varies by location. An attorney can advise about your rights and legal choices. An independent mediator can help people work through discussions when appropriate. Fast Divorce can explain its services and prepare accepted documents at your specific direction. These roles can complement your own research.
If you rent and have no children, you may still want clarity about bills, accounts and the practical transition ahead. If you have children or property, you may have more topics to organize. A useful question in either situation is: “What do I still need to understand before I give instructions or sign?”
Start with the Preparation Workbook. Keep the questions that remain unanswered. When you want help with document preparation, ask Fast Divorce about the service scope your matter may require.
WHATEVER YOUR MARRIAGE LOOKS LIKE ON PAPER
You may rent, have no children, or feel there is little to divide. That does not make your next chapter unimportant. Income, debt, everyday expenses and any unresolved obligations are still worth organizing. A simple-looking situation is a reason to ask clear questions, not to skip checking what applies.
You do not need a large estate to deserve a clear, considered process.
STARTED, STALLED OR RETURNED?
Bring the court notice and your complete file. Include what was submitted, what was returned, and any dates the court gave you. Our team can explain whether document work is available within an accepted service. Contact an attorney promptly if you need advice about a deadline, a dispute or how to respond.

Added to your Complete Divorce service fee.
Confidential Divorce™ is an optional $995 document-preparation upgrade available only with Complete Divorce™. The accepted work may include a separate settlement agreement and related judgment paperwork, prepared from your specific written directions.
Both spouses must participate and sign the separate agreement. Court filing and disclosure requirements still apply. The upgrade does not make your divorce private or sealed, and we cannot promise that an agreement or its terms will stay outside the court file.
We review the requested document work before accepting the upgrade. An attorney can advise you about legal privacy options, filing requirements and the effect of an agreement.

THE QUESTIONS WORTH ASKING
Clear information helps you decide how you want to move forward.
Yes. People can represent themselves. California Courts provides free self-help information, and court self-help centers can explain procedures and help with forms. They do not become your lawyer or represent you. Decide what help you need based on your situation, time and unanswered questions.
AI can assist with parts of preparation, but a general chatbot conversation does not itself complete the court process. Its answers may be wrong or miss a relevant fact. Required procedures and court judgment still matter. Verify information and seek legal advice when a decision affects your rights.
Yes. Agreement does not by itself complete a divorce. Required information exchanges and court paperwork still apply. In the ordinary disclosure process, agreeing or having little property does not automatically eliminate financial disclosure duties. Specific procedures and exceptions should be checked against current court guidance.
Having children alone does not select your package. The actual document work and accepted scope matter. Our team can explain each service; we cannot decide parenting or support terms for you.
No. Fast Divorce provides self-help document preparation at your specific direction. Charlie’s mediation work through Fresh Start Mediation is separate. An attorney can advise about your rights and legal options.
That fact alone does not tell you which procedure applies. Court requirements, case history and the nature of the disagreement matter. Use official court information and consult an attorney for legal choices or disputed rights. Fast Divorce can explain the limits of its document services.
No. A legal separation can address issues while you remain married. Divorce ends the marriage. Consult an attorney if you need help choosing between procedures.
Your ability to make decisions freely matters. Seek individual help from a qualified attorney or appropriate local support service if there are threats, coercion or safety concerns. A shared conversation or joint process may not be suitable. In immediate danger, call 911.
No. It is the name of our optional additional document-preparation service, available only with Complete Divorce™. It does not seal your case or guarantee that settlement terms or financial details will remain private. Court requirements control what must be filed.
SIMPLE. FINISHED. HUMAN.™
Explore the services, gather what you have, or talk with a real person about the document support available.
Keep initial messages general. Do not include Social Security numbers, account numbers, court documents or private details about children. Ask the team how to provide requested records. Contacting us does not mean your matter has been accepted. Contact an attorney promptly if you need advice about a court deadline.
