Charlie starts by listening. His experience as a divorce mediator helped shape Fast Divorce’s checklist-driven approach: clearer document tasks, human support, and a team helping you move forward.
Fast Divorce provides client-directed document preparation. Charlie’s mediation work through Fresh Start Mediation is a separate service. He is not an attorney. You represent yourself when using Fast Divorce.

Being the founder hasn’t changed why I do this work. I still make time to take calls, listen, and answer questions about how our service works. Sometimes the first useful step is simply having a conversation with someone who takes your question seriously.
I’ve also built a team that cares about the details. You work with people who help keep the document work connected, so support does not depend on one person being available.

01Why every divorce starts with a different conversation
You may be ready to file, trying to work through a disagreement, or wondering why an existing case feels stuck. You may still be gathering information. Charlie’s approach begins with where you are, what you want to understand, and what kind of help you are looking for.

02Mediation is my forte
Through Fresh Start Mediation, Charlie helps participants discuss concerns, identify open questions, and explore agreements they choose. He brings particular care to the practical details: how parenting arrangements work in everyday life, what information is still missing, and which questions need an independent professional.
As a mediator, his role is neutral. He does not take either person’s side, make their decisions, or replace their own legal advice. Fast Divorce’s document preparation is separate; mediation is not automatically included in a document package.
Charlie is a member of the Statewide California Mediation Association (SCMA). He identifies Laura McGee and Terri Breer as mentors and participated in their January 2025 Family Mediators Training & Practicum.

A missing record, an unanswered question, or a draft waiting for review can make the next step hard to see. Charlie developed Fast Divorce’s checklist-driven approach to make the document work more organized and easier to follow.
The checklists help distinguish information to gather, directions to confirm, drafts to review, and administrative follow-through. They organize the work; they do not make legal decisions for you or guarantee court approval.
Fast Divorce’s name describes its focus on divorce document work and efficient follow-through. It is not a promise to shorten legal waiting periods or control the court’s schedule.

A few questions about working with us
Will Charlie personally handle my file?
Charlie remains a hands-on founder and still makes time for calls and service questions. Fast Divorce is a team service. His personal availability, participation in a particular file, or response time is not guaranteed.
Can I work with my own attorney or mediator?
You choose your providers. Independent legal advice can help you understand rights and proposed agreements. Charlie’s Fresh Start Mediation work and Fast Divorce’s LDA document preparation are separate engagements, with distinct roles and scope. A referral is not automatic.
What if I am not ready, or already have a case?
You can begin with general information. Check My Fit includes starting points for people exploring services and people with an existing California case. It does not determine legal eligibility or guarantee acceptance. If you have a deadline, hearing, or urgent safety concern, seek timely legal or emergency help; do not wait for a service inquiry.
