Notice to Consumer
You deserve to know who is helping with your paperwork and what that help includes. This page explains California’s Notice to Consumer, our role as a Legal Document Assistant, and how to check our registration directly with the county.
For your information—nothing to print or sign here. The first online application is a request for review. It does not take payment or complete your service contract. Your separate Notice to Consumer and enrollment documents follow the required steps described below. If you decide to apply for our services, we provide your separate Notice to Consumer during the application process, before a service contract is offered for signature or payment is accepted. You will have time to read it, answer based on your first conversation, sign and date it, and receive a copy.

What the notice explains
California requires an LDA to explain the provider’s identity, services, nonattorney limits, and registration information at first contact. The separate Notice to Consumer records whether those points were explained. California Business and Professions Code §6410.5.
The notice identifies Fast Divorce and explains that we are not an attorney or a law firm. It describes the limits of our role and provides registration details and a way to contact the county clerk.
When you receive your own notice during the application process, choose Yes, they explained or No, they did not explain, based on what actually occurred. You sign and date that notice and receive a clearly legible signed copy before any service contract is offered for signature. California does not permit an additional acknowledgment about this same notice.
The order before services begin
- First-contact explanation. We introduce our services and explain our nonattorney role and registration information.
- Your separate Notice to Consumer. During the application process, you receive the notice and time to read it. You choose Yes or No, sign and date it, and receive a clearly legible signed copy before a service contract is offered for signature or payment is accepted.
- LDA Contract and complete service terms. You review the services, fees, cancellation rights, and applicable Fast Divorce terms before signing or paying. The required contract and our Master Services Agreement work together.
- Document preparation. Work begins after the required contract process is complete and the fully executed contract has been delivered. Contract requirements.
You can review and keep the complete applicable service terms before any signature or payment. Reading this page does not complete the separate Notice process.

You make the legal decisions. We help with the paperwork. Our team works alongside you to organize the information you provide, prepare documents at your specific direction, and help you keep track of the agreed paperwork steps. Common questions
Do I need to print, complete, or sign anything on this page?
No. This page is for public information and education. The unsigned example is optional; you do not need to print it, fill it out, or send it to us. If you choose to apply, we provide your separate Notice to Consumer as part of that process.
When will I receive and sign my Notice to Consumer?
During the application process, after the first-contact explanation and before a service contract is offered for signature or payment is accepted. You have time to read the notice, answer Yes or No truthfully, sign and date it, and receive a clearly legible signed copy before the contract is offered. A general website checkbox does not replace this separate process.
Does signing the Notice to Consumer hire Fast Divorce?
No. The notice records whether the required points were explained. Your LDA Contract and applicable Fast Divorce service terms are separate documents that follow the notice process.
How can I check your registration directly?
Use the county contact details at the top of this page. Ask for Fast Divorce and provide the registration number shown there. The county can confirm the current registration record.
What happens if my spouse participates?
A spouse who voluntarily engages Fast Divorce receives their own required documents before work requiring their directions, participation, or signature. A nonparticipating spouse does not automatically become a client because you submit an application.
What if another language is used?
California requires the Notice to Consumer to be translated into the language principally used in an oral sales presentation or negotiation. Your translated client notice remains separate from this public English-language explanation.
