Your terms.
A separate agreement.

You and your spouse decide the terms. We prepare a Separate Settlement and Confidentiality Agreement (SSCA) from your written directions, within the accepted upgrade scope.

CONFIDENTIAL DIVORCE™

More than one document.
One coordinated approach.

The name does not mean a private, confidential or sealed divorce. Filing and disclosure requirements still apply.

  • A separate agreement prepared from your directions
  • Related judgment paperwork coordinated within scope
  • Drafts and approvals together in your client app

No upgrade payment with your application or initial service payment. Request it during your active case, before judgment entry.

A separate agreement is not a sealed court file. Whether the agreement can remain outside the initial court filing depends on law, the case and court requirements. The court may require it or its terms to be filed, and later disclosure may be necessary. Privacy, court acceptance and timing are not guaranteed.

Both spouses must participate and sign. Legal advice, sealing/redaction proceedings and representation are not included. Additional court-required SSCA submission work is outside both fees and requires a separate written quote and your written authorization. See additional work and charges.

THE FULL PICTURE · MSA EXHIBIT A

Extra work.
Clear charges.

You should not have to guess what an extra costs. These are charges for additional work or outside providers—not more package upgrades. Fixed service fees are shown below; availability and your accepted scope still matter.

Additional draft changesBeyond your included combined revision rounds$195 / $295
Super Fast · extra combined round$195
Complete · extra combined round$295

Super Fast includes one combined round; Complete includes up to three. Extra rounds are only available if offered, may be declined, or may need a different quote based on scope. They are not automatically added.

Different from a court correction: court-requested corrections to covered package work are included. New work and additional SSCA submission work follow their own scope and authorization rules.

Your included certified copyAfter judgment, during regular active closeoutIncluded
True-default judgment1 copy
Agreed / stipulated / joint judgment signed by both2 copies

We coordinate the ordinary court clerk certification/certified-copy request included for your path: one for the client in a true default, or one per party when both sign the judgment package/FL-180.

This applies when judgment enters during regular active processing and closeout—not before entry or after file closure. Extra copies, rush/special handling, later requests, apostille/exemplification, delivery and government fees outside the included allowance are separate unless your signed record says otherwise.

Exemplification + apostilleOne California court-document package$195 + costs

If offered, the $195 service fee covers coordination for one California court-document exemplification/apostille package. Court, Secretary of State, vendor, courier, postage and government costs are additional.

An apostille authenticates a California public official’s signature on an eligible document for use abroad; it is not a promise that another country or organization will accept the document. Tell us what the receiving authority requires. California Secretary of State guidance.

Certified record + apostille bundleOne record request + one California package$245 + costs

If offered, the $245 service fee covers one certified-record request plus one California court-document exemplification/apostille coordination package. Court, government, vendor and delivery costs remain additional.

This is a bundled coordination option—not a government charge or an all-inclusive price.

Extra or later certified recordsOutside the included active-closeout allowanceQuoted

Additional or later certified-copy/divorce-certificate coordination may be quoted separately. Court, government, vendor, postage and courier costs remain additional unless included in your signed or accepted record.

Reopening a closed service fileA fresh review before work resumesQuoted

Reactivation is quoted when requested, based on elapsed time, case status, scope, outside costs and balances. Past-due balances must be current before work resumes.

Already having a court case does not itself create a third package or an automatic existing-case surcharge. Court records and prior work may need review before we confirm the accepted scope.

Court, government & provider costsActual outside costs where they applyVariable

Filing and records

  • Court and government charges
  • E-filing service provider (EFSP) and other vendor charges
  • Apostille and exemplification fees
  • Courier and postage

Service and publication

  • Private or special service
  • Publication, newspaper and posting charges
  • Court-posting costs
  • Proof / affidavit costs

These are pass-through costs unless a signed or accepted matter-specific record expressly includes them. They are separate from our listed service fees.

Fee-waiver request preparation is included in both packages. The court decides eligibility and what it waives. A waiver does not pay our service fee or every outside cost.

Other work or delivery requestsOnly as provided in your agreementAs applicable

Additional SSCA submission work: if a court requires the separate agreement or its terms to be filed, lodged or otherwise submitted, additional document preparation is outside the $995 upgrade and Complete fee. We provide a separate written quote and obtain your written authorization before that work.

Paper records: reasonable copying, paper handling, postage, courier or administrative delivery costs may apply where allowed, disclosed before delivery. Other out-of-scope work requires a separate quote when available.

Payment disputes: Section 6.5 describes conditional processor/dispute fees and actual, reasonable response costs when a dispute is resolved in our favor, withdrawn, or determined not to justify reversal—not an automatic flat penalty. The agreement specifies written notice and a 14-day payment period. For collection proceedings arising from those unpaid dispute balances, it also addresses reasonable prevailing-party attorney fees and costs, subject to the LDA contract and applicable law. Statutory rights still apply.

All fees remain tied to your signed service records. This plain-English guide summarizes the current MSA’s Exhibit A and related cost provisions; it does not replace your agreement or expand the accepted scope. Confidential Divorce™ is the only optional package upgrade. Additional services above are conditional, not automatically included or purchased. No QDRO/DRO drafting, legal advice, mediation, negotiation, valuation, tax advice or court representation is included in either package.

Is Confidential Divorce a third package?

No. It is the only optional paid package upgrade, available only with Complete Divorce for accepted work. It adds separate-agreement document preparation and coordinated judgment paperwork for $995. Both spouses must participate. It does not make the court file private or sealed.

When would I pay the $995 upgrade fee?

After the fit review, both spouses sign the Confidential Divorce rider. We then issue a separate $995 client-app invoice, and upgrade preparation begins after payment. It is not collected with your application or any Complete service payment. If we decline the upgrade before preparation and a fee was already collected, that upgrade fee is refunded in full. Other cancellation situations follow the agreement and applicable law.

What is the total if I choose Complete plus Confidential?

Complete paid in full ($2,799) plus the $995 upgrade is $3,794 in service fees. Complete on the three-payment plan ($2,997 total) plus the upgrade is $3,992 in service fees. These are combined service totals—not a single upfront checkout charge. The upgrade is invoiced separately after both rider signatures. Outside costs and separately authorized additional work are not included in these totals.

Why pay for help if the court forms are free?

The forms themselves are free. Our fee is for organizing your information, preparing and human-reviewing the covered documents, coordinating filing and service, and following up on court responses. You can do your own paperwork. Hiring us means you do not have to manage the covered document work alone. Explore free court forms and resources.

How do I know which service I need?

The document work—not just whether you have children—determines the service. Super Fast is for more straightforward paperwork. Complete covers more detailed agreed terms within the scope we accept. Tell us your situation so we can confirm the right scope; examples on this page are not an eligibility decision.

When do I pay?

For Super Fast’s online paid-in-full service, the $1,799 payment is collected at the end of the detailed application, after the introductory form. Complete begins with a no-payment inquiry; our team provides the agreement and required payment steps after scope is confirmed. For either monthly plan, contact the office before enrolling. Receipt of an application or payment is not case acceptance or a court filing.

Does the payment plan include the same help?

Yes. The selected service has the same scope either way. Super Fast is three monthly payments of $649 ($1,947 total); Complete is three monthly payments of $999 ($2,997 total). Paying in full costs $148 less for Super Fast or $198 less for Complete. Only payment plans require a card on file, with your authorization for the scheduled charges and dates in your signed payment schedule.

Can you help with court filing costs?

Yes. Preparing a court fee-waiver request is included in both packages at no additional service charge. Tell us before filing if court fees are a concern. The court decides whether you qualify and which fees it will waive. A waiver does not pay our service fee or every outside cost. Read the California Courts guidance.

What if the court asks for a correction?

Court-requested corrections to the work covered by your package are included at no additional service charge. We coordinate any information needed from you, make the correction and handle the filing follow-up. Changes to your decisions or added work are different: those follow the revision allowance and agreed scope.

What if I want to change my draft?

Super Fast includes one combined round of client-requested draft changes; Complete includes up to three, within the accepted scope. An additional round may be offered for $195 with Super Fast or $295 with Complete, with your separate authorization. Added work outside scope requires a separate written quote or agreement when available.

Can you help if we do not agree on everything?

Our service does not include negotiating disagreements, legal advice, mediation or court representation. If terms remain disputed, a mediator can help willing spouses discuss them, and a licensed attorney can advise you about your rights. A spouse who does not participate is different from an actively contested dispute. Tell us before applying so we can explain the document-service limits.

Does paying more make my divorce finish sooner?

No. Complete pays for broader document work and more revision support—not priority with a judge. We typically prepare documents within 3–5 business days after receiving all required information and documents, subject to case steps, complexity and payment status. The court controls approval and processing. California’s minimum six-month waiting period for ending a marriage is separate from preparation time.

When does judgment work begin on a payment plan?

Your entire account balance, including authorized outside costs, must be zero before any judgment preparation, assembly, review, quality control, finalization or submission begins. Both packages include accepted document work through the judgment stage; monthly payments do not change this requirement.

What if I need to cancel or change services?

Review your required LDA Contract, service agreement and cancellation notices before signing and paying. Cancellation and any refund follow your signed agreements and applicable law. Contact us promptly about a change in scope or service; we will explain the work already performed and any proposed changes before you authorize them. Read the Terms of Use.

Do I need to visit your office or the court?

You can apply, share information, review drafts and message our team from your phone. No routine office visit is required. Court rules, signatures, service or notarization may require other steps; a judge may require an in-person appearance. You remain self-represented.
