I’m ready to move forward. Where do I start?

You do not have to choose a package today. If you need help deciding your rights or what terms to accept, speak with a lawyer. If you need help reaching agreement, mediation may be an option. If your terms are decided and you need document help, compare our two services. Our team can explain what each service includes, but cannot make your legal decisions for you.

What does Fast Divorce actually do?

More than filling in forms. We prepare and human-review the documents covered by your service, coordinate covered service of papers, e-file where available, and follow up on court responses. Court-requested corrections to covered work are included.

You provide complete information, make your legal decisions, and review and sign the drafts. We handle the accepted document work; the court controls approval and timing. See how it works.

Are you a law firm—or a Legal Document Assistant?

Fast Divorce is a registered California Legal Document Assistant service, not a law firm. We cannot give legal advice, choose your legal strategy, negotiate for you, or represent you in court. You represent yourself. A lawyer can advise you about rights, disputed terms and strategy. Learn about the document-assistant relationship.

How can I check that Fast Divorce is legitimate?

Fast Divorce's Los Angeles County Legal Document Assistant registration is No. 2024240911. You may contact the Los Angeles County Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk to verify the registration. Registration is not an attorney license and does not guarantee a court result. Meet Charlie and the team.

If the court forms are free, what am I paying for?

You can use free court forms and self-help resources. Our service is for people who want a human team to prepare the accepted document work, coordinate included filing steps and help them understand the next task. We do not replace free court help or legal advice. See what you are paying for.

Do I need to call before I apply?

No. You can review the services and apply directly on our website. If you would feel more comfortable asking questions first, schedule a call. We can explain our services and process, but cannot tell you what legal decisions to make.

Choose your application or talk with our team.

What are your two service options?

Super Fast Divorce® is for more straightforward document work and already-decided, simple terms. Complete Divorce™ handles more detailed accepted document work, such as detailed parenting terms, support paperwork or property issues. Both may fit eligible new or already-filed cases. We review the requested scope before acceptance. Compare the services.

What kind of situation fits Super Fast Divorce?

It may fit an eligible uncontested or default case with simple, settled terms, with or without children. Everyday belongings, vehicles, bank accounts and simple parenting terms can be within scope. It does not include support orders, detailed parenting schedules, real estate, retirement division, businesses or crypto work. Do not leave out important facts to qualify. Explore Super Fast.

When would Complete Divorce make more sense?

It may fit accepted cases needing more detailed document preparation, including agreed parenting schedules, child or spousal support paperwork, and some property or retirement information. It does not include legal or tax advice, valuation, a separate pension order, litigation or court representation. The signed agreement identifies the exact work accepted. Explore Complete.

Do children automatically mean the higher-priced package?

No. Simple, already-decided parenting terms may fit Super Fast. Detailed schedules or child-support paperwork call for Complete scope review. Neither package decides custody or support terms for you. Compare the two options.

I already filed—or my papers were returned. Can you help?

Yes, we can help with eligible already-filed cases through the same two service options. Send your filed papers and any court return notice for a scope review. A request for “just the final judgment” may involve earlier procedural gaps that must be addressed before the judgment papers can be accepted. We will explain the document work we can take on; we cannot diagnose a legal dispute or promise court approval. Already-filed help.

What if we do not agree yet?

Our document packages are for accepted, uncontested work. A mediator may help you discuss unresolved terms; mediation is a separate engagement and is not required to hire Fast Divorce. If you need advice about your rights, a contested case, or someone to advocate for you, speak with a licensed attorney. Explore mediation.

Can I choose Complete even if my case is simple?

Yes, it may be appropriate if you want more room for document review and client-requested changes. Super Fast includes one combined revision round; Complete includes up to three. Both include human review and personal support. Complete does not add legal advice or unlimited revisions.

Compare what the two packages include.

Is a retirement division order (QDRO) included?

No. Neither package includes a separate Qualified Domestic Relations Order (QDRO) or Domestic Relations Order (DRO). Retirement benefits can require specialized work beyond the divorce judgment. Tell us about all plans and benefits so the accepted document scope and any separate professional help can be identified.

CLEAR BEFORE YOU COMMITKnow what you’ll pay.Flat service prices, payment timing, court costs and included corrections.8 questions

What is the Super Fast price?

$1,799 paid in full, or three monthly payments of $649 ($1,947 total). Paying in full is $148 less than the monthly total. These are service fees; court fees and outside costs are separate unless expressly included.

Our Super Fast online application is paid in full. For monthly installments, contact the office before enrolling. See current prices and full details.

What is the Complete price?

$2,799 paid in full, or three monthly payments of $999 ($2,997 total). Paying in full is $198 less than the monthly total. Court fees and outside costs are separate unless expressly included. The initial Complete inquiry collects no payment.

See the full pricing breakdown.

Can I pay monthly instead of all at once?

Yes. Contact the office to arrange monthly installments before enrolling. The Super Fast online application is paid in full only.

The installments pay the standard service price; the lower paid-in-full amount is a discount from that price. Your signed agreement lists payment dates. Your full account balance must be paid before any judgment work begins. Review pricing and payment plans.

What costs are separate from your service fee?

Unless your signed agreement expressly includes them, court filing fees, e-filing provider charges, private process servers, publication, certified copies and other outside costs can be separate. Fees vary by court and service. We identify costs for the steps in your accepted work before they are incurred. A court may grant an eligible fee waiver; it controls that decision. California Courts fee-waiver information.

“Amazing Service, fast, very communicative / Charlie is the best / Highly recommended” — N.V., Google review excerpt. Read Google reviews. Individual experience; timing and court steps vary. This link may open the business review page rather than the individual review.
If the court requests a correction, will I pay again?

Court-requested corrections to covered work are included. Those are different from changing your instructions or adding new work. Super Fast includes one combined round of client-requested draft changes; Complete includes up to three.

Additional work outside the accepted scope is discussed and separately authorized. Review included work and additional fees.

Can you help if I cannot afford court filing fees?

Yes. Preparation of a court fee-waiver request is included in both packages at no additional service charge. The court decides whether you qualify and which fees it will waive.

A court fee waiver does not waive our service fee or every outside cost. Read California Courts’ fee-waiver information.

When must my balance be paid before judgment work?

Your full account balance must be $0—including any outstanding outside costs—before we begin any judgment preparation, assembly, review, quality check, finalization or submission. A payment plan spreads the service payments out; it does not remove this requirement.

What if I need to cancel or change my service?

Contact our team promptly. Canceling a Fast Divorce engagement and dismissing a case already filed with the court are different actions. The applicable signed agreement and California LDA notice govern cancellation, payment and any refund; do not assume stopping service closes a court case. We can explain our office process but cannot advise whether you should dismiss a case. Contact us.

When do I apply—and when do I pay?

Choose Super Fast or Complete on our Apply page. Super Fast: start with the introductory form, then continue to the detailed application, required service documents and paid-in-full payment through Stripe. The introductory step collects no payment. Complete: submit the current Clio application for our team's review; no payment is collected in that form. For monthly installments, contact our office.

Does submitting an application mean you accepted my case?

No. We review the requested document work and confirm whether we can accept it. An application is not a court filing or a promise of acceptance. We will explain the next step and the applicable service documents. See the application choices.

When do I get access to the client app?

After acceptance, signed service documents and the required initial payment, we send your client-app invitation. Once access is granted, the app is the official place for active-file documents, approvals and case messages. Email and text may alert you to a new task, but they do not replace the app for sensitive active-file information. See how it works.

What information should I have ready?

Have your legal names, contact details, marriage and separation dates, any children’s details, assets and debts, support needs, your spouse’s address if known, and any existing court papers or return notices. We may request more during onboarding.

Give complete, accurate information. Do not leave out an issue to fit a lower-priced service. Explore our free preparation resources.

Can I do this from my phone, anywhere in California?

You can start remotely, communicate with our team and review supported documents from your phone. We serve self-represented clients throughout California. E-filing depends on the court and document; some signatures, notarizations, paper filings or appearances may still be required. There is no routine office visit requirement. Learn about our process.

“They explained everything in simple English, made the paperwork easy, and helped me feel supported from start to finish.” — J.E., Trustpilot review excerpt. Read Trustpilot reviews. Individual experience; timing and court steps vary. This platform link may open the business review page rather than the individual review.
How will I know what has been done and what happens next?

Our team communicates about completed document steps, what is coming next and who needs to act. After app access is granted, look there for your active-file tasks and drafts. We do not promise a fixed reply time or court schedule. See our process.

“From the very start, they kept me informed every step of the way, so I never felt lost or out of the loop.” — G.Q., Yelp review excerpt. Read Yelp reviews. Individual experience; timing and court steps vary. This platform link may open the business review page rather than the individual review.
What if my payment does not go through?

Do not assume your payment or service has been confirmed. Check the message shown by the application and contact our office if you are unsure what was received. Avoid sending card details by email or text. We can help clarify the next step before you try again.

FAST, WITHOUT RUSHINGUnderstand the court steps.Preparation, filing, follow-up and the date your marriage actually ends.7 questions
Hover to explore. Tap or click to keep an answer open.
How quickly will you prepare my documents?

Typically, preparation takes three to five business days after we receive the complete information and documents we requested, subject to the work accepted, required case steps and payment terms. Missing information or changes can affect the schedule. Judgment work begins only after the full account balance is paid.

Fast means organized preparation and human review—not skipping details or guaranteeing a court date.

Does “Fast Divorce” change California’s six-month rule?

No. Fast refers to our document preparation and follow-through—not a shortcut around California’s waiting period. In a regular divorce, the six-month clock generally begins when your spouse is served or formally appears in the case, whichever happens first. For a joint petition, it begins when you file together.

Your marriage ends on the effective date stated in the court’s judgment—not automatically when six months pass. Court processing and unresolved issues may add time. Court guidance on timing and joint petitions.

Can I receive a judgment before my marriage officially ends?

A court can enter a judgment with a future date for the marriage to end. That does not mean you are already divorced: the marriage-end date stated in the judgment controls, and the minimum waiting period still applies.

Judgment entry depends on complete papers, required steps and the court’s review. It is not guaranteed within a set number of weeks. Read California Courts’ explanation.

Can you e-file my papers?

We e-file accepted documents where the court and document type permit it. Some courts or documents require another method. E-filing is not the same as court acceptance; the clerk or judge may request changes. See included filing support.

Will I need to go to court?

Many uncontested cases conclude without an in-person hearing, but the court decides. A particular court may require a hearing, wet signatures, notarization or a paper step. We will communicate the requirements relevant to our accepted document work. We cannot appear or speak for you. How it works.

What if the court rejects a document?

We review the court’s notice, coordinate with you on any needed information, and handle court-requested corrections to the work covered by your package. Those covered corrections do not add a service charge.

A new issue, additional scope or a legal dispute may require separate work or an attorney. We cannot guarantee acceptance or a particular court response. See filing and follow-up.

Who serves the first papers?

The person who starts a regular divorce cannot personally serve the first papers. Service must follow California rules and be documented. We coordinate standard service when included in your accepted scope; a private server or other outside costs may be separate. A joint petition starts differently. California Courts' service guide.

What is a joint petition?

It is a California way for eligible spouses or partners to start a divorce or legal separation together. Both participate from the start. It is a court procedure, not a third Fast Divorce package and not a shortcut around disclosures, judgment papers or the divorce waiting period. Compare joint and regular filing.

What is the difference between FL-100 and FL-700?

FL-100 starts a regular petition by one spouse; the other must be served unless an applicable appearance or court-approved process changes that step. FL-700 starts a joint petition with both spouses. The filing, response, fee and financial-disclosure steps differ. We can explain published general information, not choose the path for you. Read the plain-English comparison.

Will a joint petition make the divorce faster or cheaper?

Not necessarily. It avoids a separate initial service step because both spouses file together, but court fees, disclosures, judgment review and the minimum divorce waiting period still apply. Both spouses may owe first-appearance fees. Compare the actual requirements before choosing. California Courts joint-petition guide.

What if my spouse will not sign or respond?

A refusal to sign does not automatically stop a divorce. After legally sufficient service and the required response period, a default procedure may be available. The default is not automatic, and a judge must still review the final papers. A contested dispute may need an attorney. Explore the default route.

What if I cannot find my spouse?

You may need to document reasonable efforts to locate them and ask the court to authorize a different service method. Complete Divorce™ may include preparation of a publication or posting request within accepted scope. The court decides whether it is allowed; newspaper and other outside costs may be separate. See Complete's scope.

Do we still need financial disclosures if we agree?

Usually, yes. California financial-disclosure rules can apply even when both spouses agree. The documents exchanged between spouses are not all necessarily filed with the court. The filing requirements differ by process; for example, a joint petition has an FL-150 filing step. Do not assume that “agreed” means “no disclosures.” California Courts divorce guide.

What if we have a house, retirement, business or crypto?

Tell us about every item. These issues do not fit Super Fast's simple scope. Complete may include some agreed document work after review, but valuation, tax advice, separate pension orders and legal analysis are not included. You may need an attorney, tax adviser, appraiser or plan specialist. Explore Complete.

TECHNOLOGY, WITH PEOPLE RESPONSIBLEYour information. Your trust. How AI assists, what stays human, and what confidentiality does—and does not—mean.4 questions
Hover to explore. Tap or click to keep an answer open.
How does Fast Divorce use AI?

We use AI as an assistive tool for certain organizing, checking and drafting-support tasks. A Fast Divorce legal document assistant reviews AI-assisted work before it is used; AI does not make your legal decisions or independently file papers. Some approved tasks may involve case information or prepared documents, including documents that contain financial details. Some calls may be recorded or transcribed with AI tools after applicable notice and consent; people review the results. Ask us how a particular tool uses your information before sharing anything you are unsure about. Read our AI and Fast Divorce page.

Is my divorce automatically private?

No. Court records and access rules vary by document and court. Some information is confidential by law; other filed papers may be available to the public. Do not assume that using an online service seals your case. Learn about the privacy option.

What does Confidential Divorce™ do?

It is an optional $995 additional agreement-document service for a suitable, accepted Complete Divorce™ case—not for Super Fast. Both spouses must participate and sign. Where permitted, some agreed detail may be placed in a separate agreement rather than in the filed judgment, but the court-required content must still be filed. The separate agreement may later have to be disclosed or filed. This does not seal the case or guarantee privacy. Telling us you are interested does not add a charge. If we can offer the upgrade, both spouses first review and sign a separate rider. Only then do we send the $995 invoice through the Client Portal. You may ask during your active Complete Divorce™ case, but not after the court enters judgment. The current Clio application collects no payment and does not contain the new interest question. Your signed terms and applicable law control payment and refunds. Read the full explanation.

Can Charlie help us mediate an agreement?

Charlie Silva offers neutral divorce mediation as a separate service and engagement. Mediation is not required to buy either document package. A mediator helps people discuss decisions; a mediator does not act as either spouse's attorney. For individual legal advice, speak with a lawyer. Explore mediation.

What if I cannot find my client-app invitation?

Check your inbox and spam folder first. If you still cannot find the invitation or get into the app, contact our team for access help. Do not send sensitive case documents through a public contact form or social media.
