File Together™ track

File Together™ Express

The simplest way to finish an agreed California divorce when everything is truly simple: no minor children, no community property division, and support reserved. We prepare and file court‑correct forms under your direction—so you don’t have to guess the process.

Why Express feels different than “online divorce”

Many services hand you templates and leave you to figure out filing, sequencing, and follow‑through. Fast Divorce® is built as a forms + filing + clerk follow‑through partner—within LDA limits.

Not just forms

We assemble, e‑file where available, and track clerk responses so your case can actually move.

Cooperative first

File Together™ is built for agreed cases and uses the Joint Petition path where adopted, instead of “served” drama.

Portal‑first clarity

Drafts, approvals, invoices/receipts, and finals live in one place: your Client Portal (official delivery).

What’s included in Express

Express includes one judgment revision and focuses on a clean, minimal, document‑only agreed filing. Financial disclosure form “content revisions” are not included in this tier.

Included service

LDA‑scope document preparation and filing under your direction.

E‑filing submission where available (and routing through the court’s filing system).

Court status tracking and routine technical “defect cure” follow‑through when needed.

Filing of proof of disclosure (after you exchange disclosures per the checklist).

Name restoration at judgment — free if requested in the initial papers.

Forms typically included

Examples shown below; county‑specific cover sheets vary.

Joint Petition (FL‑700)

Joint Summons (FL‑710)

Case assignment / case management forms (varies by county)

Declaration re: service of disclosure (FL‑141)

Waiver of final disclosure (FL‑144) if both spouses elect it

Uncontested declaration (FL‑170)

Judgment (FL‑180) + Notice of Entry (FL‑190) + required attachments as applicable

You do vs. we do

This is how we stay fast and compliant: you decide and provide accurate information; we turn it into court‑ready filings and follow the procedure.

You do

Confirm you both fully agree on all issues and want to file together.

Provide accurate info and respond to Portal approvals (timely approvals keep momentum).

Complete your financial disclosure numbers (we provide captioned forms; you control the content).

Exchange disclosures with your spouse per the checklist; keep full, honest disclosure obligations.

We do

Prepare the correct “FL‑” and local forms based on your answers and instructions.

Assemble and submit filings through e‑filing where available (or the required submission method).

Track clerk responses, post file‑stamped copies and receipts to your Portal, and guide next procedural steps.

Prepare and file the uncontested judgment packet (includes 1 revision in Express).

How Express works

  1. Book your 15‑minute Fit Check. We confirm the correct track and explain what to expect (process info only, not legal advice).
  2. Secure Portal onboarding. You receive your Portal invite for e‑sign, uploads, approvals, and receipts.
  3. Drafts → approvals. We prepare the filing set and post drafts for your approval in the Portal (official delivery).
  4. Opening filing. In counties adopting Joint Petition, filing counts as service/first appearance for both spouses. Where Joint Petition isn’t available, we use a traditional uncontested Petition/Response path while keeping it cooperative.
  5. Disclosures. Preliminary disclosures are required; final disclosures may be waived only if both spouses elect and sign the waiver.
  6. Judgment. The court reviews and issues the final judgment on the court’s timeline, subject to California’s minimum waiting period.

Pricing that’s actually clear

Express is a flat service fee plus pass‑through third‑party filing costs. You’ll see receipts posted and reconciled in your Portal.

Express service fee

$1,250

Includes one judgment revision. Designed for a minimal, document‑only agreed case.

What Express does not include

Express (and all packages) do not include court appearances, legal advice, attorney representation, or contested litigation. Complex items like retirement/QDRO drafting and real‑property litigation are outside this tier. If your facts are more complex, book the Fit Check so we route you correctly.

Upfront Filing Costs

Typical opening third‑party costs for a standard first filing are approximately:

$435 court first‑paper filing fee

$135 EFSP/admin (e‑filing service provider/platform fees)

These are paid to third parties and posted with receipts in your Portal.

Examples that fit Express

These are made‑up examples to help you self‑identify quickly.

Maya & Sofia

Married 2 years, no kids, no shared assets or debts to divide. They agree on everything and just want the court paperwork filed correctly, with support reserved. Express fits because it’s a very simple agreed case.

Jack & Kelly

No children, no house, no retirement division, and finances are already separated. They want an organized, minimal‑touch uncontested filing with clear steps and fewer chances of clerical rejection. Express fits.

FAQ

Are you a law firm?

No. Fast Divorce® is a registered & bonded California Legal Document Assistant (LDA) service. We are not attorneys and do not provide legal advice or representation. You self‑represent.

Do we have to go to court?

Many uncontested cases are paperwork‑driven, but court requirements vary by county/judge and we cannot promise a “no court” outcome. Fast Divorce® does not appear in court or represent you; we prepare and file documents under your direction.

Can you tell us what we should ask for in our divorce?

That’s legal advice. We can share legal information about procedures and options in general terms, and we can prepare/file forms based on your instructions. If you need advice about what to choose, consult an attorney or schedule mediation.

How long does it take?

Court timing varies, and courts control acceptance. California has a six‑month minimum waiting period to final status in divorce.

How do we sign and receive documents?

Your Client Portal is the official delivery channel for drafts, approvals, status updates, invoices/receipts, and final documents. Email or SMS can be used for courtesy updates, but Portal posting controls.

Is my information secure?

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards (including encryption in transit/at rest where appropriate, role‑based access, logging, and periodic reviews). No method is 100% secure, but we treat privacy and security as core.
